Join Commuter Biennial in conversation with artist Virginia Overton as she discusses her sculptural installation Late Bloomer on site on The People's Dock at the Deering Estate. With this work, Overton repurposes the bed of her Dodge Ram 150 pickup truck and fashions it into a habitat for native aquatic plants. This piece will evolve throughout the course of its installation as the plants continue to grow. This discussion will explore the conception and construction of this work, as well as Overton's artistic career.
